When calling for an ambulance for transportation to the hospital it is extremely important the primary problem is identified. The appropriate level of service for the condition of the patient must be provided. 911 provides a Rescue Emergency Response. West Coast Medical provides an Urgent Response - within approximately 20 minutes, as well as the pre-scheduling of transfers for admissions, discharges, treatment and diagnostic appointments etc.
Call us for:	Pneumonia (not actively SOB) COPD without increase in SOB Fever (NYD - not yet diagnosed) Urinary tract infection Extremity pain (prior fall, DVT, NYD) Hyperglycemia < 250 mg/dl Altered mentation > 12 hours Abdominal pain > 12 hours Controlled bleeding Back pain > 12 hours Direct admissions to Hospitals or Nursing facilities Diagnostic transfers - IE chest x-ray, peg tubes, lab work Any condition you feel a minor delay will not be detrimental to the welfare of the patient.
